community boxing club on estate? called WOODCHURCH ABC?

DOES EVERYONE AGREE THAT WE SHOULD HAVE OUR OWN BOXING CLUB ON THE ESTATE, CALLED WOODCHURCH ABC? THIS WOULD BENEFIT THE YOUTH IN SO MANY ASPECTS OF THEIR LIVES, IE; IT WOULD REDUCE ANTISOCIAL BEHAVIOUR (KIDS OFF STREETS) TEACH THE KIDS SELF DISCIPLINE, RESPECT FOR OTHERS AND THEMSELVES HEALTHIER LIFE STYLES EATING AND FITNESS AND SO ON AND SO ON. I think it is a fantastic idea. I wish there could have been a boxing club when I was growing up. Youths will really benifit from it.

im 13 an live on the woodchurch est, i think its a great idea and think it would be a great way of keeping fit. and also think it can teach self defence and self discipline, all my friends think its a great idea aswll boys and girls good luck and i hope it works. luv lauren. xxx

I know of a person who had the same idea of setting up a boxing club but was told that we couldn't have one as there was one on the beachwood, but i beleave this has closed down because of heath and safty grounds so there might be a chance they would now let one open here on the woodchurch.

Not being a member of your community, it doesn't affect me either way as to your boxing club being built or not. However, I saw the effort Lauren Devey was putting into getting the idea off the ground and I was intrigued. As a martial arts instructor myself, I was absolutely amazed at the amount of people who weren't offering support for the idea. It is difficult and there is now, more than ever, a lot of red tape in the way of such sports.
In my opinion it is a superb idea and one that is going to need a lot of community support. Martial arts and combat related sports are dying and I'd feel safer in the knowledge that I swayed a few more minds towards the idea. So please folks, jump on board, chip in and show your support. These ideas are big and the people opposing them are even bigger but even giants can be felled by the force of a mans spirit. Good luck with the project.

thanks very much for all posts on boxing topic guys even the ones off you cossack who i dont know and dont even know whether you live on the woody i presume you do but anyway never mind positive and negative views are welcome although i ask you all please lets not get personal about people on the estate or even a SMALL minority of the estate! the petitions are going really well for the boxing club and things are really moving forward which all the youths or should i say a vast majority of the youth are absolutely made up about i am feeling really positive about the estate at the moment so onwards and upwards ay!!!! oh and just to remind anyone that doesn't know we have nearly 10 thousand residents on our estate so dont be put off by hoole rd shops. xxx spk 2 u all soon love jennie allo. xxxxxx any help you can offer even getting petitions signed would be very much appreciated. xxxxx
